Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the ForgeSparks website handles your personal data. It is intentionally short, because we collect as little as possible.
Who runs this site
This site is operated personally by an independent French developer who publishes under the alias d1ceward. There is no incorporated legal entity at this time. If ForgeSparks ever generates revenue, the activity will be declared under a French micro-entreprise status registered to the same individual, and this page will be updated accordingly.

What we collect
Analytics: anonymous, aggregated traffic data via a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance. No cookies, no IP storage, no cross-site tracking, no personal data.
Newsletter: if you submit your email through the beta signup form, we store that email and the language you used the site in. That is all.
Error reports: if the site crashes in your browser, a self-hosted Bugsink instance (which speaks the Sentry SDK protocol) collects a technical error report so we can fix it. We do our best to scrub personal information from these reports.
Why we collect it
Analytics: to understand which pages are useful and which are not, so we can improve the site.
Newsletter: to send you a message when the Havoc closed beta is ready. We do not send marketing, and we do not share your email with anyone.
Error reports: to find and fix bugs.
How long we keep it
Newsletter emails are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until the beta program ends, whichever comes first.
Analytics and error reports live on self-hosted instances under the operator's direct control and are reviewed and purged periodically. No external retention policy applies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (and its French implementation), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@forgesparks.com. We will reply within 30 days.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. The website, the analytics instance, the error-reporting instance and the newsletter database all run on infrastructure self-hosted by the same individual. No third-party processor receives your data.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies for tracking purposes.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Substantial changes will also be announced to newsletter subscribers.
